Little Theatre / Playhouse Rental

Cornerstone Playhouse is a small, year-round Performing Arts Center of South County dedicated to education and excellence in the Performing Arts, specifically music and theatre. The Directors strive to provide an experience that “creates special moments and lasting memories”. It is a non-profit organization (tax ID # 20-5032322) and Federal 501-C-3 status is pending.

The Playhouse is located in the historic Sawmill Building at 213 Robinson Street, downtown Wakefield Village, in South Kingstown, Rhode Island in an adjacent space to the True Brew Café. This is a unique setting set against the backdrop of stonework from the 1880’s. Here, community members of any age, gather together and enjoy the performing arts. Participants share skills, mentor, celebrate artistic achievements and use the venue for educational purposes.

We are fortunate to have an open, simple rehearsal & performance space adjacent to the café. Once completed, this space will be perfect for Theatre Directors who are interested in doing Actors Workshops, Script Readings, Black Box productions. Music teachers can hold Recitals or special programming here as well.The Playhouse can accommodate 49 people. The café shall support intermissions as well as pre and post show requirements as needed.
